Q. Can I submit a picture of my artwork for the application?
A. You must submit a representative piece of artwork to be juried. We recommend that you also submit photos with your application. Your artwork must be delivered as described in the application. For 2011, we will likely move to an invitation process with a juried section for new artists. If you are interested in 2011, please contact us to be put on our mailing list.
Q. Is there a fee to apply or participate?
A. There is no fee to apply. If you need a tent and tables, the charge is $30.00 to enable us to hire a staff to set up tents. At this time, The City's Partner in Parks program funds the tent rental. You may elect to bring and set-up your own tent/canopy.
Q. What is the access and set-up like?
A. You can drive to a service entrance off of 16th Avenue, but then must either bring your artwork to your desinated area by foot or cart or queue up for use of one of our three service vehicles. Set-up times are staggered--only three artists per time slot. At the end of the event, it is strongly suggested that you have helpers to move your work back to your vehicle, as demand on the service vehicles is high. If you have not been to Darts Hill, please check our calendar and plan to come for a walk through.
Q. May I publicize the event to my own mailing list?
A. Yes, if you are selected, we will provide you with publicity and media coverage as well.
Q. May I sell my artwork?
A. Yes, and you may discretely distribute business cards and collect inforamtion for your mailing list.

Application
If you are interested in participating in the 2011 event, return a completed application (when they become available) by April 9th, 2011. We are particularly interested in artists with garden themed work and artists with a connection to Darts Hill Garden. We are open to including a diversity of mediums such as ceramics, glass, sculpture, painting, photography, dance, music, and more.

Volunteers Are Needed
If you are interested in helping with the organization of the 2011 Arts at Darts event, please let us know. Contact Linda at 604.542.3003. We need people to help plan as well as volunteers on the day and evening of the event.
