Educational Support Program

After a successful pilot test, we will be expanding our Educational Support Program. This new program is to encourage and foster a relationship among young children with the wonders of plant and animal life in the Garden. Our specially trained guides will work with teachers and parents to develop a program that enriches the classroom curriculum by bringing children into the garden for a one or two hour program. Contact us if you would like to bring your school out to the garden.

A typical program for young children might include a treasure hunt for flora and fauna in the garden; parachute games with garden themes; building a compost pile; and a short tour highlighting plants or garden activities in support of the specific class curriculum for the attending school.

We also welcome Girl Guide and Scout groups. We would be happy to tailor a tour and garden experience suited to the interests of your group.
